Chocolate Protein Waffles

This buckwheat protein waffle are the best Sunday brunch recipe! with only wholesome ingredients you will get the fluffy waffle we all love, Crunchy in the outside soft in the inside. I love the topping them with coconut yogurt, peach and blackberries for that sweet and tangy mix. You can also add maple syrup or agave to make them extra sweet.

Buckwheat is a great flour alternative as its high in protein and amino acids and its completely gluten free!

Stack your waffle up and get ready for Sunday to enjoy this healthy gluten free fluffy pancakes.


Chocolate Protein Waffles


Serves: 8

Prep Time: 10 min

Cooking time: 15 min


Ingredients

  • 3/4 Cup Buckwheat Flour ( or any gluten free flour)

  • 4 Tbsp cacao powder

  • 2 Scoops protein powder of your choice

  • 1 Tbsp Baking powder

  • 2 1/2 Tbsp maple syrup

  • 1 1/4 Cup plant based milk


Method

  1. Add all ingredients to a bowl and whisk until well combined.

  2. Heat of a waffle maker spray some spam or coconut oil. Add 1/4 Cup of the mixture and cook 4-6 minutes ( Following instructions of your waffle maker)

  3. Serve with coconut yogurt, peaches, bee pollen and blackberries.
